The Story Behind the J: Every voyage has a course change.

Long before joanncantu.com existed, I spent years building another brand. It was a chapter of my life filled with creativity, growth, and unforgettable experiences. But sometimes life changes course, and we have a choice: keep looking back or set a new heading.

I chose to move forward.

That's why this brand carries my own name.

At the heart of my logo is a hand-drawn blue  " J " with a small pink flower. It may look simple, but it represents something deeply personal.

The " J " is more than an initial.

It represents ownership. Accountability. The decision to create under my own name and build something that reflects who I am today.

The flower reminds me that growth often comes after change. New beginnings don't erase the past—they grow from it.

As a merchant mariner, I've spent much of my life navigating oceans. At sea, you learn that changing course doesn't mean you've failed. It simply means you've found a new route to your destination.

Life works the same way.
