Where the Story Begins

As I write this, I'm back at sea.

For more than thirty years, the Pacific Ocean has been both my workplace and my greatest source of inspiration. Every voyage reminds me why I fell in love with the sea in the first place.

Every hour the ocean changes.

One moment it's deep indigo. Then sapphire. Then turquoise. Sunrise washes the horizon in gold and orange before fading into blues that no camera can truly capture. Storm clouds create dramatic shadows, rainbows appear where you least expect them, and even snowfall transforms the ocean into something completely different.

People sometimes ask where the colors in my artwork come from.

They come from here.

From standing on the bridge of a ship.
From watching another sunrise.
From noticing the way light dances across the water.
From realizing that nature has already created the most beautiful color palettes imaginable.

The truth is...

This story began when I was four years old, and it set the course for everything that followed.

I'll share that story soon.

For now, every voyage continues to remind me why I create.

Every trip across the ocean returns me home with new ideas, new colors, and new designs waiting to become wearable art.

This is where it all begins.

Charting my own course.

Love,
